John Saul was born on February 25, 1942 in Pasadena, California.
He graduated high school in 1959 and went on to attend college. He attended several colleges including San Francisco state
College and Montana State University. While
attending college he majored in anthropology, liberal arts, and theatre.
However, he never attained a degree.
After dropping out of college, he became a writer.
John Saul is now known for his chilling, suspenseful thrillers.
He has also been compared to Dean Koontz and Stephen King.
